At\u00e9 o momento, o presidente e ex-prefeito de Paudalho, Marcelo Gouveia (Podemos) \u00e9 candidato \u00e0 reelei\u00e7\u00e3o e tem como advers\u00e1rio o prefeito de Alian\u00e7a, Pedro Freitas (PP). Por\u00e9m, a ex-vice-presidente da Amupe e prefeita de Serra Talhada, M\u00e1rcia Conrado (PT), est\u00e1 sendo estimulada a entrar na disputa.<\/p>\n<p>Foram escolhidos para coordenar a elei\u00e7\u00e3o da Amupe os prefeitos do Cabo, Lula Cabral (SD); de Feira Nova, Joel Gonzaga (PSD); e de Jo\u00e3o Alfredo, Jo\u00e3o Martins (PSB). A Comiss\u00e3o definir\u00e1 as datas para inscri\u00e7\u00e3o das candidaturas e a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o da elei\u00e7\u00e3o. A primeira reuni\u00e3o ser\u00e1 na pr\u00f3xima semana.<\/p>\n<p>Marcelo est\u00e1 sem mandato, pois encerrou a sua segunda gest\u00e3o em Paudalho, mas diz que ainda pode contribuir com a Amupe. Ele est\u00e1 h\u00e1 um ano no cargo, devido ao acordo firmado h\u00e1 dois anos. M\u00e1rcia Conrado ficou na presid\u00eancia em 2023 e ele na vice.<\/p>\n<p>Em 2024, Marcelo assumiu a presid\u00eancia e M\u00e1rcia renunciou para concorrer \u00e0 reelei\u00e7\u00e3o em Serra Talhada. Os contr\u00e1rios \u00e0 reelei\u00e7\u00e3o de Marcelo alegam a import\u00e2ncia da altern\u00e2ncia de poder. Al\u00e9m disso, ele ser\u00e1 candidato a deputado federal em 2026 e teria de se afastar da presid\u00eancia. Seu candidato a vice ser\u00e1 o prefeito de S\u00e3o Caetano, Josaf\u00e1 Almeida (PSB).<\/p>\n<p>Pedro Freitas assumiu o primeiro mandato de prefeito em Alian\u00e7a e vem sendo incentivado a concorrer \u00e0 presid\u00eancia da Amupe pelo presidente estadual do PP, deputado Eduardo da Fonte. Ele se diz confiante de que poder\u00e1 vencer a disputa e vem conquistando apoios. M\u00e1rcia Conrado surge como op\u00e7\u00e3o para unir os prefeitos e a elei\u00e7\u00e3o para a presid\u00eancia ser por consenso.
